Chartered accountancy provides a very promising career as, it is the only course equivalent to Masters in the country which provides you theoretical knowledge along with actual hands on experience to apply such knowledge.

Eligibility Criterias for Joining Chartered Accountancy Course
The course consists of three levels i.e., Entrance, Intermediate & Final. Eligibility criterion to take CPT or Common Proficiency Test (entrance examinations) are:
1. Students must have appeared in Senior Secondary Examination conducted by examining body constituted by law or any exam recognized by Central Government as equivalent thereto. List of examinations which are treated equivalent to Senior Secondary Exams is available at www.icai.org and covers almost all the state and national level boards. Please note that qualifying in the exams is not mandatory to appear in CPT, however students shall be ineligible for further level studies unless 10+2 exams are cleared.
2. Students belonging to science, mathematics & other streams are also eligible to take CPT exams. There is neither any subject specific minimum marks requirement not there is any such condition that students must have appeared/passed 10+2 examinations only from a Commerce stream.
